Winx Horse is the embodiment of everything we admire in an athlete; the will to win and the desire to achieve victory for a period of years and to achieve it each time, under any condition, without seeking reward.
Winx is also the third horse (after Black Caviar and Sunline) to be inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame while still competing. The great mare occupies an undisputed place among the best horses ever to appear at the Australian racecourse. Many have argued that she is, in fact, the best of all although this discussion will continue forever, what cannot be doubted is the weight of Winx’s amazing achievements.
Winx has not been defeated since April 2015 and has won some of the most prestigious racing events, recording its fourth consecutive Cox Plate in 2018. “Initially, it was like riding a wave, but in a wave, you eventually crash Kepitis continued. “But she kept us moving. Winx dominance has made her a national treasure in a country with a long history of horse racing.
Very few can compare to Winx, he has won over $ 16 million in awards since his debut in 2014. This boost is due to his good character and ability to live up to the circumstances, however, like any athlete elite, trust is key. “She has a good inclination towards how good she is. When she enters the parade ring and everyone applauds, she gets up a little.”
“It’s a lonely thing. She likes to go deep out of the box and keep to herself. But then she’ll want company and come to chat a little. It’s lovely to have such a kind horse well.” Winx Connections is fully aware that the seven-year-old girl’s incredible journey is coming to an end. He is unlikely to compete for the fifth consecutive Cox Plate this season and his connections are reluctant to take the mare too far.

Winx Cox plate 2015
Winx rose to fame during his three-year season, his comfortable victory at the 2014 Furious Stakes in Randwick foreshadowed the arrival of a skillful mare. Unbeaten when he was 4, he won, including Theo Marks and Epsom Handicaps, but it was his success at Cox Plate in record time that consolidated his greatness.
She is the sixth Australian champion to win seventeen or more races in a row, crowned First Lady of Australian Territory, by public acclaim, her coach Chris Waller said of Winx after her incredible victory in the Doncaster Handicap 2016: “I’ll call her champion while she can talk. I thought she was defeated in the half mile. She must have an incredible will to win.”
For the 2015-16 racing season, Winx was chosen as Australian Horse of the Year, and finished 2016 as the best ranked grass horse in the world. In induction into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2017, he had run 27 times for 21 wins and three seconds; including 12 wins in Group One.
She was already a star and winner of Group 1, but the 2015 Cox Plate is when Winx really announced itself. Bettors had an idea, she started as a favorite, but the $ 4.60 starting price shows they were far from sure of what she was exactly capable of doing.
Stuck on the fence behind the leaders as he settled in, Hugh Bowman sat in silence and kept the mare comfortable throughout the race. Just before the final turn, the seas parted and Bowman and Winx came across an opening along the fence. Was it good enough to take advantage of? Emphatically so. And something else.
Winx ran for the lead and moved on, making long runs into an unfortunate field as he walked away to win by nearly five bodies. He broke Might And Power’s great career record in the process, an indication of how commendable his victory was in a historical sense.
Winx Cox Plate 2016
Winx has had many great victories in his career. Dozens of them. But when you look back in the coming years, when they show the highlights, there’s a good chance the 2016 Cox Plate will be their hallmark performance. Winx was recognized at this stage, as the best horse in Australia.
Winx Cox Plate 2017
A good number of horses have managed to win two Cox Plates. Only one had managed to win three: the great Kingston Town in 1980, 1981 and 1982. In 2017, Winx had a chance to become second. Expectations were in the clouds, with the horse at the height of its powers. Unlike 2016, when some suggested Hartnell was a genuine threat, there was no obvious challenger. But the champion had yet to do so.
Winx Cox plate 2018
Surprisingly, after having a record three Cox Plates in his possession, Winx came to the 2018 race in as good shape as ever. Still at the top of the stack (and rated as the best racehorse in the world), it sometimes seemed like a lost conclusion that the champion would trot toward an incredible fourth consecutive Cox Plate.
